Warehouse Levels & Expansion Costs
How this fits the early loop
Open the door and keep labeling (Day-1 checklist), bank toward warehouse Level 2, then hire your first robot. Licenses and VIP work fund the next floors — see early licenses and VIP orders.
1. Why warehouse levels matter
Community walkthroughs treat warehouse expansions as hard gates, not cosmetics. Until Level 2 appears as bought, many players never see a robot purchase button. Later levels unlock auto labeling, cleaner bots, and (per some guides) heavier loader roles. Maxing the line is also an achievement goal.
- Early gate for the robot shop / hire loop.
- Capacity for multiple deliveries, terminals, and carts.
- Path to auto labelers (slower wear than the manual unit) and floor automation.
- End goal: fully upgrade for Maximum Capacity — see Achievements.
2. Level unlocks (from existing site facts)
| Level (community) | Ballpark cost | What sources on this site say it unlocks | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 2 | ~$1,500 | Robot shop / hires; multiple deliveries; extra customer terminals; small cart | Widely cited on first-robot / FAQ |
| Level 3 | ~$8,000 | Auto labeling; cleaning robot (treat as later goal) | Same walkthrough cluster — confirm-in-build |
| Level 5 (example) | Confirm-in-build | Some community notes say Loader Bot / heavy lifting may need a higher expansion (e.g. Level 5) | Mentioned on automation tips — uncertain |
| Max / full upgrade | Confirm-in-build | Achievement Maximum Capacity — fully upgrade the warehouse | Steam / GameFAQs name on this site |
Community / uncertain
Exact prices, how many levels exist, and which robot roles are hard-gated can shift with patches. Demo-era tips sometimes quoted different early robot bundles. We do not invent missing level prices or Steam scores — confirm every number in your Oct 2026+ shop UI.
3. Soft spend order (L2 → L3+)
Reuse of the early-arc order already on First robot & early money and automation tips:
- Keep the store runnable — bags, labels, trash, repair kits. Do not dump every dollar into expansion while consumables run dry.
- Warehouse Level 2 — first hard gate; bank here before expecting robot purchases.
- First robot (usually Customer Service ~$1,200 community) → then Loader / unload help when docks back up — hire order.
- Income licenses that clearly expand VIP / shelf tickets — soft order on early licenses.
- Warehouse Level 3 / auto labeler / cleaner when cash is no longer the bottleneck.
- Later floors + max warehouse alongside drones, billboards, wholesale, and exclusive VIP — soft stack on automation tips.
Do not skip L2 for shiny mid-game buys
Cleaning robots (~$3,700 in community spend advice) and higher licenses wait until docks / labeling / income are stable. Overstocking kits early also slows the L2 bank — see repair kits.
4. What changes after you expand
- After L2: expect robot hires, more delivery throughput, extra terminals, and the small cart (community cites). Pair with counter/door habits so walk-ins still convert while you explore.
- After L3: auto labeling machines (after expansion) wear down more slowly than the manual unit — durability notes on Codes & calculators. Cleaning bot is QoL, not a rushed priority.
- Higher / max: chase capacity for Maximum Capacity; some Loader roles may wait on higher expansion (confirm). Stack with drone / wholesale max lines later.
5. How to verify in your build
- Open the in-game shop / upgrade UI and read the live Level price and unlock text.
- Note what appears after purchase (robot tab, cart, terminals, auto labeler) — write it down for your run.
- Ignore stale demo prices if they conflict; prefer on-screen catalog.
- Achievement list: warehouse max = Maximum Capacity on Achievements.
6. Common mistakes
- Expecting a robot button before Level 2 is purchased.
- Rushing Level 3 / cleaner before the first hire and dock can keep up.
- Buying every license before L2 when cash is tight — framework on early licenses.
- Ignoring repair kits / energy while chasing expansions — bots still burn out.
- Assuming a fixed Level 5 Loader gate without checking your build (community / uncertain).
7. FAQ
- How much is warehouse Level 2?
- Community walkthroughs often cite ~$1,500. Confirm-in-build — patches can move the number.
- What does Level 2 unlock?
- Per this site’s first-robot / FAQ pages: robot unlocks, multiple deliveries, extra customer terminals, and the small cart. Exact package may vary.
- When should I buy Level 3?
- After the floor is stable (first robot + unload help, income flowing). Community ballpark ~$8,000 for auto labeling / cleaner access — later goal, not Day-1.
- Is there a Level 5?
- Automation tips mention Loader Bot may need expansion “e.g. Level 5.” Treat as community / uncertain until your shop shows it.
- What is Maximum Capacity?
- Achievement for fully upgrading the warehouse. Names listed on Achievements.
- Should I expand before licenses?
- Default early soft order: L2 → first robot → licenses that clearly expand VIP/shelf → L3. Exception if a cheap license unblocks stalled VIP while L2 is already done — see VIP orders.
