Repair Kits & Fire Extinguisher
Community / confirm in-game
Kit prices, shop locations, and fire behavior can shift with patches. Prefer the on-screen catalog over any guide number. We do not invent redeem codes, cheats, or Steam scores.
1. What a repair kit does
Community and in-game wording agree on the core loop: one repair kit restores a machine or robot to full durability, no matter how worn it was. Use kits on warehouse machines (including the labeling line) and on hired robots that have taken wear from work or neglect.
- Full restore from any wear level — you do not need a “partial” kit.
- Applies to warehouse machines and robots alike.
- Plan spend with the kit-cost field on Codes & calculators (uses-per-cycle × kit price).
2. Day-1 habit: stash kits before you leave
Players repeatedly report keeping kits in the van / door storage so a city find is not a wasted trip. Do not start a Cranelock loop empty-handed — wild bots appear when you are already far from the shop.
- Load at least one kit before any exploration drive.
- Treat “kits in the van” as a habit alongside open-door and labeling.
- Full first-session steps: Day 1 checklist (§7 Leaving the warehouse, §8 End of first session).
3. Fire first, then repair
Order of operations
If a robot is burning, extinguish when the game allows, then apply the repair kit. Skipping the extinguisher usually fails or wastes the interaction.
- Put out the fire with a fire extinguisher when the prompt appears.
- Related achievement (confirm exact name in your build): community lists cite Burned Out at Work — put out a burning robot.
- After the flames are gone, use the repair kit to restore durability.
- Where to hunt broken city bots: Wild robots locations.
4. Where kits matter most
- Customer-service / loader bots near shelves — they burn energy and durability while you are away; a dead bot mid-rush loses sales. When energy downtime (not just wear) is the issue: Robot energy & charging.
- City broken robots — repairs feed achievements such as Emergency Maintenance (repair all broken robots in the city) and Mechanic (repair robots many times; community lists cite 20).
- Early money and hire order: First robot & money · full names: Achievements.
5. How many to buy (practical rule)
- Keep ≥1 kit in the van and ≥1 near busy warehouse bots (charging / shelf area).
- Optional: estimate maintenance with the durability calculator — uses per cycle × kit price on Codes & calculators.
- Do not overstock early; cash is better spent toward warehouse Level 2 and your first robot — see warehouse upgrades.
Community / uncertain
Exact in-store kit prices vary by patch and are not pinned here. Confirm the catalog price in your Oct 2026 (or later) build before budgeting a bulk buy.
6. FAQ
- Do kits expire?
- Unknown — confirm in your build. Community tips treat them as durable inventory until used.
- Can I repair without extinguishing?
- Usually extinguish first if the robot is on fire; then apply the kit.
- Where do I buy kits?
- In-store / catalog (same shop UI as other consumables). Confirm the live price in-game — we do not invent a fixed SKU price here.
- Are kits required for achievements?
- Yes for repair-focused ones: Mechanic and Emergency Maintenance need successful repairs. Extinguishing a burning bot is a separate achievement.
